Ingredients

  • 8 limes, sliced
  • 1 x 28g pack mint, leaves only
  • 1 tbsp demerara or brown sugar
  • 300ml whisky (a blend rather than single malt works best here)
  • 2 litres cloudy ginger beer, chilled

Step by step

  1. Place the limes, mint leaves and sugar in a pitcher and crush lightly with a wooden spoon, rolling pin or muddler to release the flavours. Add the whisky and stir well.
  2. Fill with ice; top up with ginger beer.
