Ingredients

  • 75ml whisky (something unpeaty like bourbon is best)
  • 30ml sweet vermouth
  • 5ml Maraschino cherry syrup from the jar
  • 3 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • Maraschino cherry and/or a twist of pared lemon zest, to garnish

Step by step

  1. Stir together the whisky, sweet vermouth, cherry syrup from the jar, 3 dashes of Angostura bitters and a handful of ice for about 30 seconds. Strain into a Martini glass, then garnish with a Maraschino cherry and/or a twist of pared lemon zest.
