Ingredients

  • 1½l cider
  • 75g light brown soft sugar
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 inch piece ginger, sliced
  • 1 vanilla pod, halved
  • zest and juice of 1 orange

Step by step

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a large pan, then turn the heat to high. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Allow to cool slightly before spooning into glasses or mugs.
