Throw a charity dinner party

by Sarah Alcock

Bake sales are so last year! If you want to throw a simple charity fundraiser, then why not host your own dinner party? Our favourite charity, The Lullaby Trust, has an annual campaign called 'In for a Penny, In for a Pound'. It takes place on Friday 8 November, and is all about raising money for a good cause from the comfort of your own home. As the nights are drawing in and it's all looking a bit dreary outside, here's just the excuse you need to batten down the hatches and stay in with some friends and fabulous home-cooked food. You'll knock their socks off with a cracking meal and simply ask them to make a small donation to charity in return.

Why The Lullaby Trust?

It's a fantastic charity that supports grieving families who have lost babies suddenly and unexpectedly. The Trust offers families the opportunity to talk freely without formal counselling, as well as organising family days out where individuals can meet others in the same situation. What better reason is there to cook, eat and raise a few pounds?
