Ingredients

  • 500g lightly spiced wedges*
  • 1 tbsp vegetable or sunflower oil
  • 1 x 500g pack 5% fat beef mince
  • 4 tsp Inspired to Cook Steak Seasoning
  • 1 round lettuce, trimmed and leaves separated
  • 80g crinkle-cut gherkins, plus ½ tbsp brine
  • 250g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 100g lighter grated mature cheese
For the burger sauce
  • 40g light mayonnaise
  • 50g reduced sugar and salt tomato ketchup
  • 2 tsp American-style mustard*

Step by step

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C, fan 200°C, gas 7. Spread the potato wedges out on a large baking tray and bake for 26-28 minutes, turning halfway, until crisp and golden. Alternatively, preheat an air fryer to 200°C and cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway.

  2. Meanwhile, put all the burger sauce ingredients in a bowl with ½ tablespoon of the gherkin brine and 1 teaspoon of water. Stir to combine and set aside.

  3. When the wedges have about 10 minutes to go, heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. Add the beef mince and stir to break it up. Stir through the steak seasoning, then continue to cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring regularly, until browned.

  4. Arrange the lettuce leaves, potato wedges and beef mince among 4 bowls. Top with the gherkins, tomatoes and grated cheese, then dollop over the burger sauce.
