Ingredients
- 150g frozen blueberries
- juice of 1 lime
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled, stoned and flesh chopped
- 400ml unsweetened almond milk
- 3 tbsp agave nectar
Step by step
- Simply put all the ingredients together in a liquidiser or blender, and blitz until smooth. Divide between 2 glasses and enjoy.
Tip
You can also use fresh blueberries, although the colour won't be as vivid. Add a couple of ice cubes into the blender as well, to chill your smoothie.
Chef quote
Many smoothies are banana-based, but this uses ripe avocado to give it body, and to provide healthy fats and vitamin E, which helps protect cells in the body.
