Ingredients

  • 150g frozen blueberries
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled, stoned and flesh chopped
  • 400ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 tbsp agave nectar

Step by step

  1. Simply put all the ingredients together in a liquidiser or blender, and blitz until smooth. Divide between 2 glasses and enjoy.
  2. Tip
You can also use fresh blueberries, although the colour won't be as vivid. Add a couple of ice cubes into the blender as well, to chill your smoothie.
Chef quote
Many smoothies are banana-based, but this uses ripe avocado to give it body, and to provide healthy fats and vitamin E, which helps protect cells in the body.
