Ingredients
- 200g Taste the Difference Medjool dates (10-12)
- 75g Roquefort, crumbled
- 6 rashers streaky bacon
Step by step
- Carefully slit the dates lengthways, without cutting right through them, and remove the stone and stalk.
- Stuff the Roquefort into the cavity of the dates. Cut the bacon rashers in half horizontally then, using the back of a knife, stretch each bacon rasher piece to make them longer and thinner.
- Wrap a piece of bacon tightly around each stuffed date. Heat a frying pan until hot and dry-fry the dates, starting seam-side down, turning occasionally until the bacon is crisp – about 5-6 minutes. Serve warm.
A great nibble to serve with drinks.
