Sometimes it's just nice to hear about other people's happy news and, whether you're a royalist or not, a beautiful bouncing baby coming into the world is enough to raise a smile. And today the most anticipated baby of the year has arrived! A big jolly congratulations from the team at Sainsbury's magazine to Kate and Wills – and a special welcome to the world, baby boy royal!
We've mixed the most British cocktail we could think of to toast the new baby's health: The Earl Grey.
Now let's have a right royal knees-up!
THE EARL GREY
Method
- Infuse 1 Earl Grey teabag in 2 tablespoons gin for 1 minute, then discard the teabag.
- Shake the flavoured gin with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 2 teaspoons honey.
- Strain into a flute, top up with English sparkling wine, and garnish with lemon zest.
