Ingredients

  • 90ml London dry gin
  • 70ml Aperol
  • 45ml fresh lemon juice
  • 30ml triple sec (such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
  • 15ml Monin pure cane sugar syrup
  • ice cubes
  • pared orange zest, to garnish

Step by step

  1. Pour the gin, Aperol, lemon juice, triple sec and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker and add a handful of ice. Seal and shake well for 30 seconds to chill. Double strain (see Tip below) into two coupe glasses. Garnish each with a twist of pared orange zest.
    Tip
Double straining simply means pouring your cocktail mix into the glass through a fine strainer, to catch any ice fragments that would dilute the drink; it also gives a smoother sip.
