Can your man cook up a storm?

by Sarah Alcock

Is your man a cooking star? Does he have a tasty signature dish he loves to whip up for family and friends? We're looking for a dad who knows his way around the kitchen to crown as Sainsbury's magazine's Dishy Dad 2013 – and he could win a luxury Michelin-starred family break, plus lots of other goodies.

Just send us your Dishy Dad's recipe for his signature dish – it could be anything from a great beef curry to a fantastic fish pie or a veggie favourite – and he'll be in with a chance to win this year's Dishy Dad crown, plus some great foodie prizes. All ingredients for the original recipe must be available in Sainsbury's stores and the dish must be one that can be made in one hour.
We'll cook and judge the entries in our test kitchen before inviting the top three Dishy Dads to the final cook-off in November at Sainsbury's magazine HQ.

Last year's winner, Philip Doyle, above, says: 'Just go for it! Trust your instincts and go with what you know. I thought I had no chance – I'm so glad I proved myself wrong!'

How to enter
Send an email with Dishy Dads as the subject to feedback@sainsburysmagazine.co.uk. Include the full name, address, phone number and email of your nominee, plus the recipe, a family photo and a photo of the dish. Or send the information, marked Dishy Dads, to Sainsbury's magazine, 3-7 Herbal Hill, London EC1R 5EJ. All entries must be received by 25 October. Go to sainsburysmagazine.co.uk for full terms and conditions.
