Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 celery stick, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 400g lean beef mince
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 Knorr Beef Stock Pot
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 300g spaghetti
  • 20g grated Parmesan
  • basil leaves, to garnish

Step by step

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan and add the carrots, onion, celery and garlic. Cook on a gentle heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring regularly, until the vegetables soften but do not brown.
  2. Add the beef mince and cook until browned, breaking it up well.
  3. Add the tomato purée, Knorr Beef Stock Pot, dried oregano, chopped tomatoes and 200ml boiling water. Bring back to the boil, cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the pack instructions.
  5. Serve the spaghetti topped with the Bolognese sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan and garnish with basil.
