Ingredients

For the base cocktail
  • 250ml reposado (golden) tequila
  • 250ml Campari
  • 150ml lime juice (5-6 limes)
  • juice of 5 tangerines/satsumas (about 250ml)
  • 50g light agave nectar
To serve
  • slices of orange or grapefruit to garnish
  • 1 x 750ml bottle soda or tonic water, chilled (optional)

Step by step

Get ahead
Make the cocktail base a few hours ahead then mix with the ice before serving
  1. Pour all the ingredients for the base cocktail into a jug or pitcher; stir well with plenty of ice. Strain into Margarita glasses or Champagne saucers with slices of orange or grapefruit. Alternatively, pour into ice-filled highball glasses and top up with chilled soda or tonic water.
