Ingredients

  • 40g baby leaf spinach
  • juice of 2 oranges
  • juice of ½ lime
  • ½ ripe avocado, flesh roughly chopped
  • 2cm piece root ginger, sliced
  • 1 tsp agave syrup or clear honey
  • 3 ice cubes

Step by step

Get ahead
The smoothie can be made the night before and kept in the fridge.
  1. Using a hand blender, or in a liquidiser, blitz the spinach with the orange and lime juices until smooth. Add the avocado, ginger, agave or honey, ice cubes and 100ml cold water; blitz thoroughly.
